A lot of optimism is currently being expressed by Liberal Democrats and Progressives over the election results, and the new composition of Congress in Washington. The American people do appear to be waking up to the depravity of the Bush Administration, and this chastising by the voters is to be applauded. However, if we, the American people, are to play our part in changing the world, we must not forget that both major parties in Washington sold out a long time ago, at least since the end of Civil War, betraying their oath to serve the people by protecting our inherent right to be free. Both major parties represent exactly the same thing: big government that serves its own interests, and not those of the people. Both major parties, as well as our government, are owned by the money masters: the international banking establishment, under the guise of the Federal Reserve, and the huge multi-national corporations. The only difference is the Republicans appear to take the "warfare" route, and the Democrats appear to take the "welfare" route. The end result is the same: a government that endeavors to rule us, and "appropriate" as much of our money as possible, so it can keep their masters happy.

Both of this week's articles by Chris Floyd and Alex Jones revolve around the same crucial theme. If these new Democrats really mean business, they should represent one and only one agenda: Repeal! Repeal! Repeal! Anything short of that is "same old, same old." Repeal the repressive legislation of the Bush Administration: the Patriot Acts, the Real ID, government surveillance of private citizens, and the list goes on and on. Initiate Congressional or independent hearings into such issues as the 9/11 cover-up, chemtrails and the North American Union with Mexico and Canada. And oh yes, stop the war in Iraq, and bring US troops home immediately. And if any of these proceedings uncover any criminal activity, then impeachment, and the appropriate legal steps should be taken regarding the guilty parties.
