Factory farms have promoted the mechanization of farming, and the replacement of natural methods with artificial ones, such as the use chemical fertilizers, toxic pesticides, and preservatives and food additives, and with animal products, the confining and caging of animals in mass, the subsequent use of growth hormones and antibiotics, and much more.
